Integrating Nursery Schools in workplaces is growing among Spanish companies as an alternative for conciliation
On April 8, the newspaper Las Provincias published an article about Spanish companies that have Early Childhood Education Centers in their facilities to help their employees reconcile. Claudia Caso, founding partner of Grupo WorkandLife, explains how this service, in addition to the financial savings it represents for employees, is a great value, since it provides the peace of mind of knowing that you have your child at your doorstep. “You know that your child is well taken care of, and very close to you if anything happens. This allows you to be more focused and perform better. And if one day a meeting runs long, nothing happens, because these schools are prepared for this type of thing. Furthermore, especially in big cities, from the time you leave work until you pick up your child it can take half an hour, and this allows you to be with him from the moment you leave work. It gives you time with your children.”
«Spanish companies are increasingly aware of the need to offer measures that facilitate family conciliation. There is a formula that many companies abroad adopt and is making a strong entrance in our country: nursery schools within the workplace. The operation is simple: parents take their children to work and leave them in the premises set up for them. Children spend the day there, normally between four months and three years old, although some places become play centers in the afternoons and accept slightly older children.
